Refund policy

At CarTex, customer satisfaction is important to us. Due to the nature of automotive emissions products, all returns must meet the conditions below.

CATALYTIC CONVERTER LIMITED WARRANTY 

The manufacturer warrants that the catalytic converter installed to be free from defects in material and workmanship.
This catalytic converter has been manufactured to meet United States Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board requirements for 25,000 miles from the
date of installation.
The shell and the end tubes are warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles from the installation date, whichever comes first.
This limited warranty is voided if the purchaser does not return the catalytic converter to the dealer purchased from, with the warranty claim registration and purchase receipt.
If the claim relates to emission performance, Car Tex Corporation reserves the right to request, from the purchaser of the catalytic converter,
1) proof that the vehicle was tuned to the specifications of the original manufacturer and
2) to return the replaced catalytic converter for inspection.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS: The manufacturer will not honor a warranty claim if:
- The vehicle is not tuned according to the original manufacturer's requirements.
- Leaded fuel has been used.
- The exhaust system or emissions of the vehicle have been modified.
- The catalytic converter has been damaged in an accident or improper handling.
- The catalytic converter was installed on a vehicle that is not listed in the manufacturer's application manual.

CALIFORNIA SAFETY STATEMENT:
The catalytic converters manufactured by Car Tex will not, in their operation, function, or malfunction, result in any unsafe condition endangering the motor vehicle, its occupants, or
persons or property in close proximity to the vehicle.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
CAR TEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OR INJURY TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM MISUSE OR IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER.
Some states do not allow a limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

WARRANTY FORM
The warranty form must be completed entirely by the installer, including all the detailed information of the installer, owners, and the vehicle, as required in the warranty form. 
The installer must keep a copy of the warranty form and mail a copy of the warranty form to the manufacturer.
The vehicle owner must keep a copy of the properly completed warranty form and the proof of purchase.

WARRANTY RETURN
Defective converter must be returned to the autorized dealer with the properly completed warranty form, proof of purchase, and a record showing the reason for the defect claim(Such as proof of emission test failure)
The warranty has no cash value and includes the replacement of the defective part. 
Any warranty return must be preauthorised directly from the manufacturer and must be accompanied by a factory Return Authorization Form 

WARRANTY WAVE
The converter warranty is warranted: 
If the converter is not installed on a vehicle that was designed and cataloged for.
If  the vehicle is not maintained in proper operating conditions
If the converter is installed on a commercial or racing vehicle, or on a vehicle where the exhaust system is improperly altered outside of the OEM specifications 
If the converter is misused or damaged in any form of accident.
If the converter is damaged  due to inappropriate vehicle maintenance
If the converter was transferred from the vehicle on which it was originally installed

Warranty on the exhaust tips

* 1 Year warranty on manufacturer's defect.
* 6 months warranty on Polished finish, titanium finish, burn finish, black mat finish,         and carbon  fiber finish 
* Warranty does not cover natural wear and tear or road damage
* The purchaser must show a purchasing invoice from the manufacturer or its website.
* 3rd party returns and refunds are not accepted.
* Warranty is not transferable and is valid for the original purchaser of the part only
* The exhaust tips are universal, and the manufacturer does not warranty specific fitment. 


Warranty on Bullet Flow Mufflers.
*2-year warranty for manufacturer's defect.
* Manufacturer does not warranty specific sound, since sound varies depending on     engine type, engine size, exhaust modifications, and tuning 
* Warranty does not cover natural wear and tear or road damage
* The purchaser must show a purchasing invoice from the manufacturer or its website.
* 3rd party returns and refunds are not accepted.
* Warranty is not transferable and is valid for the original purchaser of the part only
* Bullet flow mufflers are universal and the manufacturer does not warranty specific fitment

Exhaust accessories warranty.
  6 months warranty on the manufacturer's defect
  Warranty does not cover natural wear and tear or road damage
* The purchaser must show a purchasing invoice from the manufacturer or its website.
* 3rd party returns and refunds are not accepted.
* Warranty is not transferable and is valid for the original purchaser of the part only
* All exhaust accessories are universal, and the manufacturer does not warranty specific fitment. 

REFUNDS

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method after inspection and approval of the returned item.
